When the breeze shifts, move the whole course in under two minutes.

Sentenal replaces traditional buoys with self-navigating marks that hold station precisely — windward-leeward, triangle, or custom layouts. Reposition the entire course on demand instead of spending 10–30+ minutes resetting by hand.

Precise marks. Instant course control.

Sentenal is a smart, self-navigating robotic platform designed for open water yacht, canoeing, and rowing events — and sailing regattas of every format. It replaces traditional buoys with precise, quick, and easy deployment, allowing race officers to focus fully on managing the race.

Simply place the Sentenals in the water and activate AutoNav. The system reliably drives them out to your pre-determined positions, holds station accurately, and waits for the next command. You remain in full control without towing markers or worrying about position changes during the race.

  • Windward-leeward and custom course layouts
  • Holds station within two metres of target
  • Reposition for wind shifts in under two minutes
  • Interchangeable top covers for visibility in any conditions

Race day workflow

Launch. Set. Race.

01

Launch

Deploy from the marina, dock, or RIB with one or two people. Modular assembly and stackable design make setup fast and transport practical.

02

AutoNav

Select a path and fleet, set start and end points, and the Sentenals move together in an orderly line — no support boat required.

03

Set

Each mark holds station at its assigned role. Build windward-leeward, triangle, or custom layouts in Layout Mode on the interactive map.

04

Reposition

Breeze shifted? Move the whole course or individual marks in under two minutes — ideal for wind shifts and back-to-back races.

Operational benefits

Autonomy, kept simple and reliable.

Reposition in <2 minutes vs 10–30+

Reposition the full course in under two minutes — ideal for wind shifts and back-to-back races, compared with 10–30+ minutes traditionally.

Channel Control

Set safe, pre-defined corridors on the map that the fleet follows to course positions — avoiding other boats, moorings, and hazards during deployment.

AutoNav fleet deployment

Visual waypoints show the route on the map. Live Stop and Slow Mode controls give you safety and precision at any moment.

Layout mode

Build courses on an interactive map.

In Layout Mode, you build and manage race courses directly on an interactive map. Assign Sentenals to roles — windward mark, leeward gate, offset mark — and adjust course variables in real time with full, safe operation of the fleet on the water.

  • Assign marks to windward, leeward, and gate roles
  • Adjust course variables in real time
  • Reposition multiple marks at once or individually
  • Total course consistency — the only marks on the water

Reference safe channels in your SI.

Channel Control lets you define safe corridors that Sentenals follow when heading to their course positions. The result is clear, predictable, and controlled navigation — making it safe to send multiple marks out to set up the course.

As the race officer, you can reference these channels in the Sailing Instructions, so competitors know to stay aware of them during deployment and racing.

  • Pre-defined safe deployment corridors
  • Avoids moorings, traffic, and hazards
  • Reference channels in Sailing Instructions
  • Clear, predictable fleet navigation
